Damien O’Kane & Ron Block will embark on their first tour together this year.

These incredible musicians will amaze audience members with their finger lickin’ pickin’ and they are mighty fine gentlemen to go along with it. Having collaborated and shared the stage in the past with none other than Kate Rusby, they are gearing up for this very special tour. Damien & Ron will be joined by a band of wonderful musicians and together will play material from their debut album, due for release July 2018, as well as a few signature pieces of their own.

Damien O’Kane began his career touring and trekking around the globe with his family band. Steeped in music, passed on through his parents, Damien grew up in Coleraine, Northern Ireland, with a deep respect and understanding of the folk tradition, yet which also forged a healthy appetite to explore its broadest borders and test its boundaries. All of which has culminated in his critically acclaimed 2015 solo album ‘Areas Of High Traffic’.

Throughout Ron Block’s life – and certainly throughout his extraordinary career – multi-instrumentalist Ron Block has been rooted firmly in the bluegrass-country tradition. Now the long time member of the Grammy-winning band Alison Krauss and Union Station discovers a whole new area of uncharted terrain. With numerous solo records himself, all to incredible critical acclaim, Block stands out as one of the finest and most innovative bluegrass banjo players to ever walk the earth, and he is an astonishing guitar player to boot!
