Jungle Cakes – Forged in the fires of dubwise drum ‘n’ bass, moulded from decades of experience rocking shows in the UK’s reggae-influenced junglist sound system culture, Jungle Cakes events consists of all the the label’s biggest talent, performing rare and exclusive B2B sets.
Ed Solo has been producing the tuffest tunes since the 90’s, he made his name linking up with jungle pioneer Brockie before going on to release massive bangers with TC, Skool of Thought, JFB and many more. 10 years ago he linked up with Deekline and founded Jungle Cakes, alongside Benny Page and Serial Killaz, creating a jungle super label responsible for some of the heaviest dubwise tunes of the last decade.
Benny Page first performed with us way back in 2008, he was a rising star then having recently released the seminal ‘Turn Down The Lights’ on Shy FX’s Digital Soundboy label. This was followed by a prolific output of classics featuring collaborations with Mr. Williamz, Top Cat, Serial Killaz, Sweetie Irie, Aphrodite, MC Spyda, Congo Natty, Skibadee, Tinie Tempah, the list goes on….. now running his own imprint Dub Shotta, this man is a kingpin of the dubwise and jungle scene.
Parly B aka ‘The Yorkshire Ragga Muffin’ also performed his first set with us back in 2008 alongside Sheffield’s Junglist Alliance crew. Since then he moved into the UK dancehall and dub scene releasing on Reggae Roast, Irish Moss, Tuffa Records, Scotch Bonnet, Nice Up, Future Ragga, before going full circle back towards dubwise / jungle; now releasing on Liondub International, Moonshine Recordings and of course, Jungle Cakes! A fully established MC who covers the entire spectrum of bass music and with bars for days!
