Inspired by old-skool US hiphop and the reggae/dancehall sounds of growing up in North London; Skinnyman won several rap battles before creating Mud Fam: a prolific OG rap crew who have shaped the UK hiphop sound since the 90’s. Members included Chester P and Farma G of Taskforce, Mongo, Supar Novar, Mr.Ti2bs, Uncle Festa and many more. After they all went their separate ways; Skinnyman went on to make one of the greatest hiphop LPs ever released. An album that defined and represented an entire subculture for a generation. Every track is a masterpiece in music production laced with lyrical genius. ‘Council Estate Of Mind’ was so impressive it entered the UK charts as the highest new entry in the week of its release in 2004, unheard of for an underground hiphop artist at the time! Almost 20 years later it is still as relevant and hard-hitting as it was then!
