For our next event we’re going back to our roots and giving you a good old fashioned Herbal Mafia party. All our residents, all night long. Plus it’s Yenz and Moxx’s joint birthday party so it’ll be extra messy! No advance tickets for this one, only £3 on the door before 11pm and £5 after, just like the old days!

When we first started mashing up different types of bass-heavy music 13 years ago, it was a DJ and MC free-for-all. Starting with reggae, dub and hiphop; moving onto live MC’s, breaks and turntablism; always ending with a drum&bass and jungle onslaught! We plan to do exactly this.

Another one of York’s finest hiphop exports who has shared the stage with hiphop royalty on countless occasions: Spee Six Nine will be returning to his hometown to host the event and showcase some of his own material. The tallest MC in UK hiphop and twice as funny.

Grime, garage and dubstep dons Vital Techniques and Mc Pean are continuing their rise to bass music stardom. From playing Fabric nightclub, to being top 5 in the online charts for their recent EP release to running a very successful label, they are unstoppable!

Another legendary resident also hailing from Leeds will be joining us: DJM aka DAN THE HAT, an almost mythical creature born of a rave and a festival. Known for his extremely eclectic mashup sets featuring very technical turntablism, and his vast array of hats.

The DJ free-for-all, as promised, will be a 4 deck battle between The Yorkshire Tea Party – York’s jungle and jump-up raggamuffins versus the reunion of the original Fray Bentos Collective – featuring Armitage Shanks, Moxx and RS-9. The darkest, heaviest drum&bass York has ever witnessed. For those that don’t know, bring spare pants.
