Tickets are £10 (+ b/f) in advance (more on the door) and available from See Tickets.

Join with us in a show of support for the people of the Ukraine and help us raise as much as we can to help its people, fleeing their homes and communities. All the money raised will be going to refugee charities and those helping in the conflict such as Disasters Emergency Committee. Hosted by the incredible band ‘The Ukrainians’ who combine traditional Ukrainian folk music with Western rock and punk.

The Ukrainians were the first band to fuse western rock music with Ukrainian folk in 1991. In 2021 they celebrated 30 years of international gigs & festivals. Expect an exciting set with the best songs from three decades of Eastern Folk Punk.

From the UK, the band draws on their Ukrainian heritage. The language and instruments of their forbearers is combined with western rock styles to produce their unique style of music. With eight studio albums and over 1000 gigs and festivals, there are lots of milestones to highlight. The Ukrainians were formed in 1991, the year Ukraine regained its independence from the Soviet Union. ‘Oi Divchino’ was the band’s first single, which became an NME Single of the Week, and the video for it was shot in Kyiv. It was the first pop video to be produced in the east for a western band.

The Ukrainians’ most recent, and arguably best album, ‘Summer in Lviv’ deals with themes that reflect the Ukraine of today: conflict, populations on the move, immigration, and a struggle for identity. It is also – like all Ukrainians’ albums – bursting with fabulous danceable tunes!
