The Crescent and Please Please You proudly present Michael Chapman, with a full band featuring Bridget St. Cole, BJ Cole and Sarah Smout, who all feature on his newest album True North.

Indie folk-pop band Pelico, return with The World Turns, their first release in 4 years. This experienced outfit from York are regularly found playing venues and festivals across the UK, supporting the likes of Roddy Woomble (Idlewild) and more recently John Bramwell (I Am Kloot) and have also featured on Tom Robinson’s BBC 6 Music show as a highlighted band.

Tim Burgess, best known as lead singer of The Charlatans, has also recorded three solo albums and one collaboration album with Peter Gordon. He’s bringing his band The Anytime Minutes to play an intimate show in The Crescent as part of Independent Venue Week on Feb 3rd.

Kieff are a band from the Netherlands embarking on their first trip as a band to the UK. They play pysch punk math mind melt rock. They are a bit like xtc. They’re really good and really nice!

2017 was a terrific year for the red-hot Uxbridge based Bloxx – who arrived ferociously at the tail-end of the summer, with boundless energy and a fresh new charge of grunge-pop that the world was very ready for.

We’re delighted to be hosting another performance poetry evening curated by York based promoters Say Owt. Jess Green is the 2018 BBC Slam Champion and her poem, Dear Mr Gove, has clocked up over 330,000 views.
