Following the phenomenal success of Beth McCarthy’s singles ‘Pretty Lies’ and ‘Lemonade’ earlier this year, the Yorkshire born singer/songwriter has announced seven U.K. dates, kicking off in London on 1st November, criss-crossing the country and wrapping up on the 25th in her home town of York.

Beth McCarthy is the vibrant performer with a quirky voice, a passion for storytelling and a shining personality. Her style forms a delicate mix of foot-tapping pop and indie folk, with her vocals falling close to the likes of Ellie Goulding and KT Tunstall. Beth’s Yorkshire roots are reflected in her music, bringing a unique, natural charm to a timeless genre.

In her seven years of performing, Beth has toured the UK with her acoustic guitar, playing numerous festivals such as Latitude, alongside Haim and The Black Keys, and recognised support slots with the likes of ELO, Heaven 17 and Nizlopi.

At just 16, Beth’s blind audition on BBC’s The Voice was viewed by over 10 million people where she went on to reach the knockout stages of the competition as part of Team Ricky Wilson from the Kaiser Chiefs.

In 2016, Beth’s career reached new heights when her stripped back rendition of Ralph McTell’s ‘Streets of London’ was named as the official soundtrack for the film ‘100 Streets’ starring Idris Elba. She then went on to find success in the United States, performing on award winning cable TV show ‘JBTV’ and playing shows in Chicago and Florida.

Beth had a monumental start to the beginning of 2017, with her first self-released single ‘Pretty Lies’, receiving stellar reviews and reaching number 2 in the iTunes singer/songwriter chart. Following this, her second release of the year ‘Lemonade’ was announced as the promotional song for Worldwide Breast Cancer’s ‘Know Your Lemons’ campaign, also registering in the singer/songwriter chart, with all proceeds from sales going to the charity.

With dates in London, Harrogate, Manchester, Ayton, Matlock, Leeds, Birmingham, Sheffield, Hull and York and two brand new singles set for release later in the year, Beth’s success shows no signs of slowing.

Described by Bob Harris as “A new name for 2017”, Beth McCarthy is proving that with her irrepressible passion and refreshing lust for life, she is ready to take the music industry by storm.”
