Drawsome! Music and Illustration Festival is back for 2024!
2022 saw the biggest Drawsome! event so far, spanning 5 venues over 5 days, with music from acts such as LIFE, Haiku Salut, Yama Warshi, ICHI, Mollie Coddled and Bull. Drawsome! is back from 31 May to 2 June at Young Thugs, The Crescent and Artsbarge with a knockout line up of live music, exhibitions and creative workshops.
Drawsome! is a family friendly and accessible music and illustration festival in York. Featuring live performances, creative workshops and exhibitions to bring people together and celebrate emerging local talent as well as established national and international artists.
Between 31 May and 2 June 2024, Young Thugs, The Crescent Community Venue and the Artsbarge will host live music performances from Dana Gavanski, Bonneville, ICHIGO EVIL, Captain Starlet, Leafcutter John, Plantfood and many more.
Richard Corrigan, Founder of Drawsome!, Director of Young Thugs and Dogeatcog says “I’m really excited about this year’s line up, especially seeing ICHI return, this time with a band in the form of ICHIGO EVIL, they are not to be missed. Having local legend Bonneville back to perform at the Crescent fresh off the back of her incredible new album ‘New Lady’ is also going to be really special.”
The Line Up
Friday 31 May sees ICHIGO EVIL, Plantfood, Mickey Nomimono and Drooligan play the intimate live room at Young Thugs recording studio. Bonneville, Lou Terry, Captain Starlet and Leafcutter John take The Crescent Community Venue on Saturday 1 June. The festival wraps up at the Artsbarge on Sunday 2 June with Dana Gavanski, Kindelan, Moongate and We Are Hannah.
Alongside the live music line up, Drawsome! features the usual array of exhibitions and workshops for the whole family. Expect art from Rowan Jackson, Bits n Bots recycled robot making with Tom Brader and Mask Making with Wintercroft design and much more.
Drawsome! is in aid of Bowel Cancer UK. This year it will also support St Nicks and Palestine Aid.
Tiered tickets, (£0-£10) are now live for the festival which runs 31 May – 2 June 2024 in local independent venues, Young Thugs, The Crescent and the Artsbarge.
