Damn it feels good to be typing this! MASHED returns to our beloved home The crescent community venue, on Friday the 30th of July and we can’t wait to see you all! It’s been 17 long months since we last danced together so we’ve got a bit of catching up to do. This last year and a half has been awful for all of us and normality is finally starting to return. So bring your dancing shoes and your happy faces and let’s remind ourselves what it’s like to socialise again. Whilst this is a club night and dancing is 100% encouraged, we must still ask you to protect each other by testing before you come, sanitising your hands frequently and respecting each others personal space.
Anyway, let’s get down to business. As always we’ll be spinning, selecting, mixing and blending the very finest bootlegs, b sides, mashups, rip offs, remixes and edits. No originals here officer, none.
Our line up for the evening, in no particular order is as follows…
Probeio
aka John Leach. Johns sets are incredibly intricate and are often delivered with a myriad of devices, gadgets, witchcraft and what nots. We don’t think Probeio has ever used the same equipment twice. John blends the individual parts, or channels, of a track to create incredibly seamless transitions of disco-esque, funky beats. It really is something to witness and fully understand how skilled and talented this fine chap is.
Miss Fabulous
aka Lou Mason. Resident of legendary night “Irie Vibes” we are also proud to call Lou one of our own too. A leading lady in the York music scene she is known for her dub and reggae vinyl selections and always brings a bag of surprises and musical treats for us.
Moxx
aka Mark Oxley. Resident for Yorks premier bass night “Herbal Mafia” and one half of “The Yorkshire tea party”, this fella is Yorks mashup king. Fusing tracks together to create live mashups you literally never know what he’s gonna play next, yo just know it’s gonna be another banger.

Just Jess
aka Jess Parker. Co founder of mashed, one half of “Funkliners” and one half of “Personal space invaders”, this little bald dude gets about a bit. You can usually find him in his natural habitat of a festival field or a dark and dingy nightclub. We haven’t a clue what he’s gonna play as he doesn’t even know himself
