Ukraine Fundraiser – The Crescent York

Under 16s must be accompanied by an adult until 7pm, at which time the event is 16+.

In April of this year the Leeds collective The Imaginarium got together with The Doghouse for a simple idea – engage their community of music and artist creatives in hosting an Arts auction at Leeds Corn Exchange to raise funds for two Ukrainian Charities ‘Help Ukraine Centre’ and ‘Action Aid DEC Ukraine Appeal’.

In the process they showcased the exceptional talent and activity of the city and the response from Leeds was incredible.

In September we will be holding a York event at The Crescent Community Venue and inviting some friends from down the road to play their finest records alongside our own York guest Djs. We will be holding a silent Arts auction both online leading up to the event and during, with bids permitted in advance, on the day and also for one week after, local contributors donating their work free of charge for you. The winning bids will be announced on Tuesday 13th September, our aim to make as much as possible from tickets and the auction!

All proceeds will go to the charities in support of the people of Ukraine still enduring the terrible conflict.

We are calling out to York creatives who would like to donate a piece of their work for the cause. We will be selecting the chosen pieces and the deadline for submission of physical pieces is 21st August – links in The Imaginarium and Upside Your Mind bio for submission information. The artists can set their minimum bid value with work being displayed online via The Imaginarium website and also at the event on the day.
