Rowan & Friends

Rowan Evans was born in Coventry. Since then, he moved to York and formed his band: Rowan and Friends. Their monthly sessions – crammed into the corner of the Golden Ball pub – quickly gained a cult status. His band is formed of long-time collaborators Ollie Howland, Adam Holmes, and Tom Gabbatiss, as well as new members Tom Burgess and Dan Lucas. They are all stalwarts of the York music scene, having played with scene favourites Bull, Perspex, and The Howl and The Hum.

Orlagh Dooley doesn’t like boxes. Throughout her journey as an artist, the Derry-born producer and DJ has consistently strived to escape categorisation attracting a strong fan base and gaining her a BBC Radio 1 Residency, an Essential mix, and ‘Best DJ’ award from DJ Mag. From running DIY parties in abandoned shops whilst studying in Liverpool, to securing some of the best club residences around the world, Or:la’s story has been as organic and authentic as they get.

The Illness

The Illness are a Liverpool-York (and beyond) based alt rock collective that traverse genres, as guided by the revolving door of collaborators that augment the core line-up from song to song. Their full-length debut, ‘Macrodosed’, is an eclectic but defiantly melodic collection of addictive hooks that pulls from all corners of popular alternative music.
