Rachel is an up and coming British singer-songwriter, her music is influenced by the ethereal melodies of Celtic folk music and thoughtful storytelling lyrics of the singer-songwriter greats, invigorated with hints of more contemporary instruments.
8th February 2019 will see the release of Rachel’s long awaited 1st studio album named Hours Awake, a collection of Rachel’s very first eleven songs written between 2014 and 2017. The album has been co-produced by Rachel herself and Dan Webster.
Rachel Croft is described as ‘truly exceptional’ by Jericho Keys, BBC Introducing in York and North Yorkshire. “Rarely have I heard such an effortlessly powerful vocal…arresting” says Jonti Willis of Sine fm.
According to Elia Rulli from Fresh on the Net, Rachel is “in possession of a voice that boasts several unique tones… (including) a Grace Slick-like mystique”.
The launch party on the eve of the album launch (Thursday 7th February 2019) held at the Crescent will be the very first live performance of Rachel’s original music as a band.
