And… they’re BACK. Probably with a vengeance but definitely with a fresh load of big old Oasis / Verve / Pistols / Clash tunes and a whole lot of attitude. Skylights might not have been the most fashionable of bands – hipster they ain’t – but try telling that to the hordes of folks coming to their shows; the last run ending in 2013.

Têtes De Pois
Another forward-thinking jazz show for you with two great bands from Leeds.
Aidan Moffat & RM Hubbert + Strike The Colours
Sex and death are common themes from Aidan Moffat; since his early days with Arab Strap, he has explored these subjects with a grace and grit that plunges deep into the human soul. But this is no re-hash of the past, rather a further leap forward for Moffat, now teaming up with fellow Scot, singer and guitarist extraordinaire, RM Hubbert.
Blackbeard’s Tea Party – Christmas show!
We’re happy to welcome Blackbeard’s Tea Party back to The Crescent with their brand of gutsy folk rock. A mix of traditional and self-penned songs and tunes are given a heavy rock edge with playful arrangements and driving dance rhythms. This is all mixed up in an engaging, high-octane stage show that frequently leaves audiences cheering for more.
This will be their annual Christmas Show so expect some festive shenanigans!
Gunn-Truscinski Duo
We’re extremely pleased to be working with genius guitarist Steve Gunn once more when he and drummer John Truscinski are briefly in the UK with near-exclusive Gunn-Truscinski Duo shows at Golden Lion in Todmorden and The Crescent in York.
Say Sue Me
Say Sue Me are a Surf inspired Indie-Rock/Pop act from Busan, South Korea and cited as one of 2018’s ‘break-out bands’. Childhood friends Jaeyoung Ha (Bass) and Byungkyu Kim (guitar) met drummer Semin Kang and played in bands together since winter of 2012, when they met Sumi Choi at a tea shop in Nampo-dong. They liked her speaking voice and immediately offered her a spot as the vocalist in a new band that would become Say Sue Me.
