This August Bank Holiday sees the return of our beer festival CresFest, our first one since 2018!
This year’s beer will be from a range of breweries in the North East and cider from Orchards of Husthwaite. We’ll have 10 cask lines, 7 keg lines, local cider, and a gin & prosecco bar spread across both bars. We will publish an updated beer list once it is confirmed, so follow us on social media to see the full list when it’s revealed.
For entertainment, we have invited DJs from some of your favourite events at The Crescent, and we will be hosting video games competitions over the weekend, plus an open entry Bar Billiards competition on the Sunday, with prizes for the winners!
We’re delighted to welcome The Big Moon to The Crescent for the first time in September who will be joined by Liz Lawrence for a great double bill.
Brought to you by The National Lottery and Music Venue Trust as part of their United By Music initiative.
YouVee are performing their biggest headline to date, celebrating the release of their 2nd EP ‘The Print White Black’. Joined by some cracking supports, we hope you can join for an amazing night of entertainment!
We thought we’d had our last rave of the season but due to a last minute cancellation we’re throwing a cheeky free party!
It was too short notice to get a late licence so we thought we would use it as an excuse to soundcheck our full 20kW rig, which is quite a bit bigger than The Crescent’s sound system!
Host of hit political podcast ‘The Political Party’ Matt Forde (Spitting Image, Have I Got News For You, The British Scandal, The Last Leg, The Royal Variety Performance) explores the dark comedy horror that is British politics, ahead of the next election. Plus silly voices.
Award winning writer, comedian and actor Rob Auton has written nine hit Edinburgh Festival Fringe comedy/theatre/spoken-word shows on specific themes including the colour yellow in ‘The Yellow Show’, sleep in ‘The Sleep Show’ and hair in ‘The Hair Show’. In his most autonbiographical show to date ‘The Rob Auton Show’ Rob turns the pen on himself to explore the memories and feelings that create his life on a daily basis.
Fresh from her smash hit Edinburgh Fringe run and Soho Theatre sell-out debut, Chloe Petts returns with her follow-up hour. Everyone complimented her on how polite she was with big issues in the last show so now she’s cashing in those points and plans on being really rude. Expect routines on Greta Thunberg, the footie and calling you all a bunch of virgins.
Ace South Wales guitar-pop trio The Bug Club return to The Crescent in November with a brand new (double!) album under their arms and a spring in their step!
