Irie Vibes: Inspirational Sound
As part of our 15th birthday celebrations over the next few months, we are honoured to have some very special guests joining us:
Bradford’s dub defenders INSPIRATIONAL SOUND; also celebrating an amazing 25 years in the scene will be bringing the crew, including singers and MC’s: Richie Ranks, Dan Man and D.Bo General – responsible for the vocals on one of the biggest jungle tunes ever released: Some Justice ’95 aka ‘The Arsonist’.
Support from the Irie Vibes DJs and MCs, playing all manner of roots, reggae and dub; with jungle to finish!
Close Enough For Jazz
Following on from their success at the Crescent last year with the New York Brass Band, in 2024 the York Railway Institute Band will collaborate with the fabulous York Music Forum Jazz Ensemble – led by Ian Chalk – to present an evening of quirky, jazz-infused music.

K.O.G + Afrodesia
Although incredible purveyor of Afrofuturism, Kweku aka K.O.G , has been to the Crescent as part of other projects like KOG & The Zongo Brigade and Onipa, this will be his first time alongside his own extended band. Support from Afrodesia, who played alongside Alogte Oho earlier in the year as well as at the Bishy Road Street Party. Expect fierce raps with political messages alongside Afrobeat, Hi Life and jazzy licks.
