The Magpies
Celtic Connections Danny Kyle Award winner Bella Gaffney (guitar, vocals) and acclaimed mandolin player Polly Bolton came together last year, fusing Celtic folk with bluegrass in an exciting new collaboration. Joined by Sarah Smout (cello) and Holly Brandon (fiddle) for 2019, this all-female four-piece is already establishing a fearsome reputation for their glittering live shows, onstage rapport and genre-busting original and traditional material.

Burning Duck Comedy – Kiri Pritchard-McLean: Empathy Pains – **CANCELLED**
Multi award winning comedian Kiri Pritchard-McLean is back with her fourth full length show. Previous shows have seen her tackle structural racism, sexism, child grooming, adoption and emotional abuse so what seemingly unfunny subject has she picked to turn into laughs this year? Chernobyl? The shrinking size of creme eggs? No, empathy. Which sounds fine actually but maybe not the way Kiri tackles it.
Burning Duck Comedy – Mark Thomas: Fifty Things About Us – *SOLD OUT*
Mark uses his trademark style of storytelling, stand-up, subversion and really, really, well researched material to try and find out how the hell we ended up in the middle of this shit show.
Burning Duck Comedy – Lloyd Griffith: Not Just A Pretty Face
It’s been a busy few years for Grimsby’s favourite (for now, anyway) comedian/choirboy. He’s recently been supporting Jack Whitehall on tour, and you may have also seen him in on 8 out of 10 cats (Channel 4), Can You Beat The Bookies? (BBC), Soccer AM (Sky One), Flinch (Netflix), Live At The Comedy Store (Comedy Central) and more!

A STATEMENT ADDRESSING THE SPECULATION ABOUT THE NURSERY NEXT DOOR, THE PLANNING APPLICATION TO TURN IT INTO FLATS AND HOW IT AFFECTS US. WE AREN’T GOING ANYWHERE. Nobody is shutting us down, and no upcoming shows are under threat: as a 100% independent, family run […]
