Mashed Returns!
Damn it feels good to be typing this! MASHED returns to our beloved home The crescent community venue, on Friday the 30th of July and we can’t wait to see you all! It’s been 17 long months since we last danced together so we’ve got a bit of catching up to do. This last year and a half has been awful for all of us and normality is finally starting to return. So bring your dancing shoes and your happy faces and let’s remind ourselves what it’s like to socialise again.
Crescent Community Disco: Reopening Party
We’re allowed to dance again! We’ll be open every day from Wed 21st July, with plenty gigs on, but this will be our reopening party! Late night disco across both rooms, with local bands Perspex & Trueman opening in the main room for the first time, and of course our Cresident DJs till the wee hours.
Michael McGoldrick, John McCusker & John Doyle
Folk music’s legendary triumvirate of musical magpies Mike McGoldrick, John Doyle and John McCusker are out on the road again in 2021. As winter turns to spring Mike, John & John will wrap up their stint on Transatlantic Sessions for another year and bring you their own blend of top class folk songs, tunes and charming bonhomie.
Rachel Croft + Kell Chambers
Rachel Croft’s songwriting is cinematic, moody and classic; atmospheric backdrops champion her powerful, dramatic vocals, smoothly blending folk, rock, and soul styles.
Statement on Reopening
The government has today confirmed that restrictions around capacity at music venues will be lifted as of next Monday.
This means that we can finally dance again! We will be reopening for all planned gigs and events from WED 21st JULY, with the front bar reopening every day for our regulars too. We’ve got a cracking summer of shows in the calendar; head HERE to take a look….
However, as we move towards ‘personal responsibility’, we’d like to encourage our customers to treat each other and staff with respect. These are strange times, and in order to pull through this, respect needs to be at the heart of what we do not just as a venue, but as a society.
Here are some brief guidelines on how things will be working at The Crescent.
